I’ve used Crown Royal bags to hold my iPod and it’s accessories before. But I have to admit I never thought of turning them into a blazer. So bravo to this resourceful LSU fan. On a different observation, most of the SEC has embraced the Solo Cup as a tailgating necessity. It’s slightly evident here and definitely in person that LSU fans side with styrofoam cups at a shocking level. I guess it’s a Louisiana daiquiri thing or something. So these shirts from Sportscrack and similar sources have been around for awhile and I still fail to understand them. If you’re going to create a shirt that insults a rival, use your own school’s colors. Why on earth would a Ohio State fan want to wear maize and blue? On the opposite end of the spectrum is the array of tailgating shirts that Wisconsin fans wear. We’ve featured them before, but this picture comes from Taylor Takes a Taste’s visit to Madison last weekend. I’m not going to say that they’re classy, but at least they have the right colors.

I’m gonna go ahead and tell you that this post isn’t especially safe for work. But, alas, these are Oregon State fans tailgating with some colorful shirts.

If you didn’t catch the last reference. It’s from a Youtube video in 2007 that was on the front end on the New Jersey Guido craze.

TailgateClothing.com has an interesting yet spotty collection of vintage looking distressed t-shirts with college logos on them. The included schools at this point are Arkansas, Arizona, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, USC, UCLA, Virginia, and Yale.

Outside of fraternities, most people don’t wear a coat and tie tailgating these days. Many of us though have suffered the horror of the dreaded fall wedding . Southern Proper makes sure you can still sport some team pride while you’re chugging free bourbon and constantly checking your phone for scores. They have a collection of neck and bow ties adorned with the mascots of a variety of colleges. By my count they have Alabama, Auburn (though tiger paws), Clemson, East Carolina, Florida, UGA, Georgia Tech, LSU, Mississippi State, North Carolina, NC State, Ole Miss, Texas, and Virginia all covered. You may have to click on their sample to see the logo in a different color (like UGA and MSU in red and maroon). In addition to their online store, these ties are available at a bunch of stores across the Southeast and beyond.

Whether you spotted them on John Daly, the Norwegian Curling team, around campus on gameday, or at the links…. you’ve probably seen Loudmouth Pants before. Thanks to South Bend Seven for helping us put a brand name with these ridiculous pants. I’ve noticed a trend towards the more outrageous in tailgating pants lately and these certainly fit the bill. In addition to the pants, Loudmouth also has coats for the guys and skirts and short shorts for the ladies. The color combinations cover the tailgating needs for many major programs like Florida, Texas, Ohio State, LSU, and North Carolina. And for the Bama fans out there they have houndstooth ties, coats, pants, shorts, skirts, and even divot tools. To see if they have your school’s colors check out the site.

Women’s Shorts and Skirts

This Oregon fan has achieved total comfort by tailgating in hooded pajamas. To me, this raises a couple of questions:

1) Do you think he sleeps in these, rolls out of bed in the morning, pours a drink, and heads straight to the tailgate?

2) How do you go to the bathroom?

Though Iowa probably lives up to this motto, these shirts are actually made for a large number of schools. So I decided to search around a little and figure out the most ridiculous school that prints this shirt. I feel confident that I have found the winner.

I haven’t found the shirt pictured below for sale on the internet. However, you can get what I believe is a more accurately spelled Ted Bundy was a Husky Shirt from Fighting Duck Tees. If you’re not into referencing serial killers you could probably just go with the Pete Carroll likes fish sticks shirt.
